OU football: Quick primer on Oklahoma, Iowa State

Oklahoma’s first opportunity to get back into the College Football Playoff conversation is against Iowa State.

• 15 Brock Purdy (5-9, 205; Sr. RB): Purdy has completed 68 percent of his passes for 2,567 yards and 15 touchdowns. But he has thrown seven interceptions.

• 8 Deshaunte Jones (5-10, 180; Sr. WR): Iowa State’s most productive receiver has 586 yards on the year and 52 catches. But watch out for Milton Tarique, who’s averaging 21.8 yards per catch with 24 grabs.

• 26 Anthony Johnson (6-0, 186; S0. DB): Johnson is about as disruptive as a defensive back can be. He leads the Cyclone defense with five pass breakups and two forced fumbles.
